Every semester the Center for Faculty Development encourages the Monarch Community to send notes of appreciation to faculty, advisors and/or staff. The Convey Appreciation initiative found exceptional community members who earned the most recognition from their students and peers. We congratulate these individuals for their excellent contributions:

  • Michelle Bartlett (Faculty Member) received seven appreciation messages, the highest recognition among all participants.
  • Tanisha Bradley (Academic Advisor) earned five appreciation messages for her excellent work as Academic Advisor, showing her vital support role for students and faculty.

Four community members each received four appreciation messages for their distinguished service:

  • James Bartlett - Faculty Member
  • Kate Clemons - Faculty Member
  • Shana Pribesh - Faculty Member
  • Ruth Triplett - Faculty Member

Faculty earned the largest share of gratitude, with 104 messages directed to them, representing 46% of the total. Staff gained substantial recognition with 93 messages (41.2%). Academic advisors received acknowledgment for their contributions through 29 messages, nearly 13% of the total.

Testimonies

The verbatim messages support the data trends, showing students' appreciation for their instructors and mutual respect among colleagues. A student's note to a professor reveals dedicated teaching impact:

"I just wanted to express my thanks for you being the teacher you are. Public speaking was probably one of the classes I was most stressed about... but your teaching style and persona made it a lot easier for me to be able to be comfortable and confident in my speaking ability."

Similarly, appreciation for vital, often behind-the-scenes staff work appeared in colleague messages:

"Thank you for your patience, grace, and professionalism as a Benefits Specialist... I was overwhelmed with all of the documentation, trainings, and paperwork I had to complete when I started here three years ago. You were so kind and patient with me. You treated me as if I were not only a new employee on your list, but the ONLY employee on your list."

Congratulations again to Michelle Bartlett, Tanisha Bradley, James Bartlett, Kate Clemons, Shana Pribesh, and Ruth Triplett. You are extraordinary Monarch Citizens who are greatly appreciated.

We also recognize and thank all who participated in the Convey Appreciation initiative.
