Dr. Colung Biancatelli received the Best Poster in Basic & Translational Research award at the 2025 Inaugural Cardiovascular Research Symposium. The American Heart Association Cardiovascular Research Symposium is a focused event on Clinical and translational research on the medical campus. 

Dr. Colunga Biancatelli’s poster information: “Our research is based on translational approaches to understand the role of extracellular vesicles in the pathogenesis of inflammatory disease like Acute Distress Respiratory Syndrome (ARDS). Now, under SEED funding from the "Pam And Rich Nuccitelli Foundation", we are expanding our investigation into the use of Nanosecond Pulsed Electric field to modify the cargo and size of extracellular vesicles to improve immune responses.”
